Despite the Russian rhetoric, and the use of that ballistic missile (a field test), it's unlikely the Kremlin will directly strike NATO countries. To do so would invite direct intervention. The Russians should be able to weather Ukrainian missile strikes until the war ends - either via battlefield victories, or until Trump pulls the plug on the conflict.
