Furiosa - A good historic FLOP



It might be an okay movie, but it looked a bit CGI fake and cookie cutter like. Same with The Fall Guy. People are rejecting things that are supposed to be semi serious (even with action-comedy) that come across as fake. And having a jacked up girl boss character doesn't cut it either when the franchise is set around a popular male protagonist. It also comes across as fake. 

This does not mean that people reject female protagonists. The Alien movies featured a female protagonist, and so did The Hunger Games, and consider the success of Barbie. The issue is putting out something credible to the largely male audience who go to watch action movies. 

If they had made a Mad Max movie with Mel Gibson, and with only real stunts, and made it less grandiose, then it might have smashed it at the Box Office.
