The clip raises questions about the economic benefit gained by European powers via the use of slaves, which they say is massively over stated. The key thing that we know is true is that Africans enslaved other Africans and then sold them to Europeans. This market existed long before the Europeans arrived and was stopped in the colonial era, through force of arms.
