U.S. Congress Votes To Ban TikTok! (Jimmy Dore)

The U.S. House of Representatives has overwhelmingly passed a bill that could lead to a nationwide ban on TikTok. The bill now moves to the Senate where it faces an uncertain future, but if it passes the upper chamber President Biden has said he will sign it.

Jimmy and Americans’ Comedian Kurt Metzger discuss why the anti-China rhetoric around this bill is nonsense and the REAL reasons our bought and paid for politicians are eager to shut down the Chinese-owned social media platform.



The Dore show on the Tik Tok shut down. They don't buy the reasons given, and recon it's an effort to try and shut down internet information sharing, particularly for younger people. Maybe a first step. X would be the next target. FB is under the thumb already with the shadow banning and option to put users in FB jail for wrongthink. Dore has a good rant at the end of this 10min clip about the US being an oligarchy. Good stuff.
