MARKET RESEARCH- Women Like Things That ARE Popular WHEN They Are Popular BECAUSE They Are Popular (YaBoi Zack)

Zack talks about the propaganda that was used to sell the idea that half the audience for comics were women. This is not true. On online poll a number of years ago posed the question whether women liked comics and it came back that 46% did. But, as pointed out in the comics by RevanR, the question should have been 'how many women BUY comics.' Anyone can like comic book art, but how many people actually buy these superhero comic books? The answer is almost all the buyers are men. 

And so the whole industry geared their products more towards women or, more disastrously, hired women writers who were not fans of the genre. As a result their core audience, who were not interested in what they were pushing, left.
