The misinformation bill will mean that only approved Government and mainstream sources of information will be allowed on social media. This is a disgrace since these entities have been the source of the worst misinformation and disinformation when it comes to the pandemic and the proxy wars being fought overseas in Syria and Ukraine.
The biggest liars, that are responsible for perpetuating war, and injuring/killing people, via the experimental Covid shots, is the mainstream media and Government.
How can one hold such heinous entities to account if public debate is censored?
If there is a problem with 'misinformation' then the solution is open debate to order to hash out the truth, not to engage in censorship. Debate is what happens in the scientific sphere and it is the logical course to take.
When it comes to disinformation the main culprits of deliberate deception are establishment entities.
The establishment media and Government lie when it comes to the proxy nature of the ongoing wars, such as hiding Western sponsorship of sectarian Al Qaeda-linked extremists, wrongly labeled as pro democracy fighters, in order to maintain support for a conflict intended to unseat the secular Government in Syria.
They also pushed lies about the safety and efficacy of the experimental shots - that anyone can discover were never properly safety tested, where the ill effects during the trials were hidden, and where they used a relative efficacy measurement to hide their absolute efficacy rate which was in the order of about 1 percent, which was negligible. With the pandemic the media participated in pushing official disinformation/propaganda when it came to responding to criticism of the shots (repeating ad nauseam the 'safe and effective' lies, plus smearing dissenting academics) and they shut down the conversation about an effective alternative treatment ('Ivermectin is dangerous horse paste').
The major problems we face are ones caused by the establishment, not from online debates and the information sharing we find on social media (or in the alt media space).
Important Note: A large portion of this clip from Bearing deals with the use of 'misinformation' as an excuse for the failure of the recent Aboriginal Voice to Parliament referendum in Australia. The vote Yes campaign could not accept that a majority of people had legitimate concerns about the referendum when no details of the proposed changes were offered. The changes could have actually impacted the private property rights of current residents of the country, and yet those voting No were smeared as racists, or accused of being fooled by misinformation/scare mongering - as if they should simply trust the Government with its current and past record of lying to the Australian public. Furthermore, a number of prominent Aboriginal politicians and leaders also voted No, which did not install much confidence in what was happening.
