Was This Attack ALLOWED To Happen? (Jimmy Dore)

It’s been widely reported that the Egyptian government shared numerous warnings with Israel about the impending Hamas attack across the Gaza border. But now it appears the U.S. government was also aware in advance that Hamas was planning something substantial.

Guest host Craig Jardula and Americans’ Comedian Kurt Metzger talk to Due Dissidence hosts Keaton Weiss and Russell Dobula about the burning question of whether the Netanyahu government was aware an attack was in the offing and did nothing to stop it.



The argument is that Israel grew complacent and made a mistake in ignoring the warnings, that their military had been redirected to deal with threats in the West Bank and from Lebanon. However, does this explanation really fly? If both Egypt and the US were getting indications of an attack then how could the Israeli miss this? 

Regardless, the Israeli hardliners always favour conflict with their neighbours in order to wipe out threats to their State. Eventually conflict in the region will ramp up in cycles, although recently the fighting has not so much been between Israel and its enemies but via the US invasion of Iraq and the proxy war in Syria. War is very much on the agenda for the Israelis.
