The Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Voice to Parliament referendum is coming up on Saturday 14th October in Australia. The nation has been divided by race politics and could stay that was if an unlikely 'Yes' result occurs this weekend.

A big problem is that there is no proper discussion about the real impact of the proposed changes to the Australian Constitution as has happened in the past. Also, all the big corporations are backing the Yes campaign, which is highly suspicious, even for corporations that look set to lose if Yes wins. One can bet that the indigenous people are being sold out here, like what happened in Canada.
No change in the Constitution is needed in order to have a Voice to the Australian Parliament. The big problem is that money allocated to indigenous people is being stolen by city elite indigenous leaders. If this corruption could be stopped then real progress might be made to improve the lives of indigenous people in general.
