Excellent interview with Paul Craig Roberts about the US economy and foreign policy. All major institutions in the US are massively corrupted. The US is in the hands of the neoconservatives and the military industrial/security complex. Other Western countries are satellites to US power. There are no independent countries in Europe. It helps to listen to Dr Roberts and bathe in his knowledge and wisdom.
He opens with a warning about the waning US dollar since the rest of the world is rapidly moving away from the 'greenback'. The major oil producers are moving off the US dollar with Saudi Arabia making deals with the BRICS nations. Furthermore, at the end of the interview he talks about countries issuing their own currencies to pay for development rather than borrowing dollars. This is the idea of a public bank. Provided lending is sensible and used for productive purposes, rather than asset acquisitions (that is a focus today), lending money will not cause undue levels of inflation.
Economically things can be dialed back so that Western countries can more resemble the more stable climate of the past, including with the reversal of outsourced industry.
