I'm About To Cross The Border 1/3 (Gonzalo Lira)

Independent journo Gonzalo Lira has been in prison in Ukraine for posting critical stories about the Ukr Government and the war. He was beat up in prison by inmates (tortured) at the behest of the intelligence services and is now out on bail. He was told that his upcoming trial would land him back in jail with at least 5 years hard labour that would kill him. This is a video he posted as he was attempting to cross the border into Hungary.

The bottom line is that the Ukr Government is not a bastion of democracy and human rights. They should simply deport him if they had problems with his conduct. And the US knows about this situation and it doing barely anything to get this man, a dual US-Chilean citizen, out of the country.

He wants people to know what has happened to him and to make a noise about his plight. The dude should have left the country rather than stay and report as he did. There are literal neo Nazis running around the place that beat up politicians that don't support what they want. You can see videos of that sort of thing. Staying in country was a bad idea.
