Facebook Targets Cambodia's Prime Minister: A Lesson in Securing Information Space (TheNewAtlas)


- Facebook (Meta) was poised to suspend Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Sen’s social media account after allegedly “inciting violence;”

- Facebook, meanwhile, maintains in good standing accounts of US representatives who have not only called for violence, but have participated in it, accounting for the worst crimes against humanity in the 21st century;

- This hypocrisy is owed to the relationship US-based social media companies like Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube (Google) have with the US State Department, using social media as one of many regime change tools;

- Nations must protect their information domain as seriously as they protect their physical domains (air, land, sea, borders);

- Nations like China and Russia already help nations secure their physical domains through the transfer of military hardware;

- China and Russia have successfully secured their respective information spaces and could provide the means to help other nations secure their information space;
