If the system remains as is nothing really matters. We will oscillate between slowly and quickly moving into more and more globalized tyranny. I'd rather make it clear I am against this even if the move doesn't work at all.
The biggest problem for Trump, if he wants to make changes, or clean up Washington, is that he's one guy. He can be killed easily. This is why it's so hard to change the system without a rebellion or a military coup. For Trump to succeed he needs a fair bit of inside help. At the very least more and more members of the public are waking up to the fact that 'everything' has been corrupted.
