One key thing to remember about the nature of the war is that Ukraine has constantly shelled Donetsk City. It is not a military target. This is the sort of approach one might expect of a terrorist Government and the mainstream media totally ignores it. If the strikes against the city were attempts to hit military equipment that would be a valid justification, but random shelling of civilians shows that the policy from Ukraine appears to be one of terror and extermination. This why Russia ultimately upped their support and launched the offensive in 2022.
