Honest Government Ad | Reserve Bank of Australia (TheJuiceMedia)
The Reserve Bank of Australia has made an ad, and it’s surprisingly honest and informative!
Pretty accurate, leaves out external buyers in the property market as a cause and the lowering of energy costs and a key solution to inflation. Taxing the hell out of gas companies, as one of their suggestions, is a band-aid attempt to raise federal budget money. In WA they forced these companies to set aside gas for the domestic market. So cheap energy. Also, the energy market here is infested with middle men, and the coal fired stations have been left to rot when they can provide dirt cheap energy. If renewables could take over overnight then no problem, but they can't right now. Modern plants with particle scrubbers would lower energy costs. The issue is that energy costs for companies are too high which pass this on to EVERYONE. And there's also supply chain problems still. Overseas energy is not a problem or a fixable problem. Germany is actually restarting their coal plants. This stuff can be replaced in the future, but now is not the time. We're heading into the start of a backwardisation phase which needs to stop before things get really bad. The idea is to address the causes of problems not the symptoms. People often go down the wrong track and nothing gets fixed.
