A lack of opportunities, degenerate family life, and US gangsta influences has caused the out of control youth problems in the Northern Territory. Although the Aboriginal community may not agree (from some in the political activist crowd), an intervention is needed in the families (which would be done with the cooperation of other Aboriginals), moving the kids to more stable places, and activities set up for them to keep them engaged. A lack of imagination, lack investment and a basic lack of action is showing here.
