Drinker's Chasers - Lucasfilm: The Most Mismanaged Studio In Hollywood

Amid the endless rumours and speculation of disastrously mismanaged movies and Kathleen Kennedy stepping down, we ask ourselves a simple question - what on Earth happened to Lucasfilm?



It seems the caliber of people at the studio decision making level has dropped so that we have people who are simply in the system, but are not there because of their talent, intellect or storytelling IQ. Many seem to be political animals and not entertainment intellectuals who are fans of the genres or perhaps even of film history. The people running things now are acting as if what they are doing is simply another high profile corporate job, where they are lacking a mature (balanced) creative flair, where Kennedy has undermined all of the original Lucasfilm work (either via stupidity or CRT driven malice).

Anyone standing back and objectively assessing the Sequels should have known, from The Force Awakens, that, despite its box office success, the film was a second rate effort spewing out a second rate story. It was a joke, a poor rehash of Episode IV that squandered many possibilities. Wiser heads did not prevail.
