The US military now wants to call an end to the war because their weapons stocks are being depleted and they fear conflict with China. The Neocons on the other hand will want the war to expand and continue.

Russian strategy is obvious. According to WaPo of all places Russians have 1:6 advantage in artillery (you can imagine their real advantage). 85% of Ukrainian soldiers are killed even without seeing an enemy. Russians are pounding Ukrainian army into oblivion with artillery. They achieved a lot. “The main object of operations should not be the territory, but the army of the enemy” Helmuth von Moltke Sr. You still don't get it. Zelenskyy strategy on the other hand is reduced to rounding up civilians often at gunpoint and throwing them into a meat grinder in a futile attempt to stabilize the front.
