DIVERSITY FIRED- Comic Book Publishers Are Quietly Phasing Out Diversity Hires Like Vita Ayala (YaBoiZack)

Just imagine if the industry, several years ago, had been as interested in finding talented writers as they were interested in finding writers with marketable identities . I have an alternate theory: the Big 2 really thought any diversity hire would do, that people would continue to pay good money for subpar stories. And it took them several years to figure out that was wrong.

Vita doesn't realize she was a placeholder. She believes that she is a great writer. Which is a red flag. Most really good writers are never happy with what they write. It is one of the things that drives them to be better. When writers start to think what they write is good enough, they are done. The obsessiveness that it has to be right is a trait of good writers. Writing good stories is complex. It takes time and effort. Vita never put either into her stories. They are always basic and boring.
