Kanye went too far here. He doesn't care anymore perhaps. It's one thing to challenge aspects of the ruling establishment and another thing to go as far as he did. Propagandists will have a field day with this, but Kanye is still too big to ignore. He's like a tornado of chaos now. I think he'll just say anything to get a rise out people. He'll still be making rational comments, but they'll be mixed with incendiary rhetoric. It certainly makes life interesting.
What should happen is more conversation with Kanye. Get him to explain where he is coming from. It won't be because he wants to hate on people. And through an ongoing conversation you can discuss facts and sort things out in terms of truthful commentary, or truthful assessments, of the world. You can also talk about how discussing these issues will be viewed by various people with an stake in these matters. Truth can be discussed and any obvious mistakes corrected. Everyone should note that in the real world it's impossible to be 100% correct about everything you think you know.
