Russia Launches Strikes on Ukraine, Retaliation for Crimea Attack; Russia Close to Capture Bakhmut (Alexander Mercouris)

The people of Donbass had been shelled for 8 years and now those in Kiev are getting a similar experience. The Russian terms for peace, which now seems to include the withdrawal of NATO forces to the 1998 positions, will be rejected by the US and EU. So it looks like the ultimate goal of the war will be the complete surrender of the Kiev Government.
