The oil workers are being ripped off by the companies they work for that are making massive profits. And so they protest. Meanwhile everyone else is being punished in the economy with dissent against NATO and other issues. The danger for Macron is that there will be a massive nation-wide strike. Hopefully the military in France will remove him. I don't think he will ever resign voluntarily.
ps. I also don't think he actually won the election. A lot of Le Pen ballots came pre-damaged that made them invalid. Any ballot with a tear in it is discounted.
