Ukraine Suffers Massive Losses as Kherson Offensive Stalls and Russia Counterattacks (Alexander Mercouris)

Having the Ukrainians launch desperate attacks plays into Russian hands as it means they expose themselves to artilery fire. Their own fires are not enough to provide cover for the attacks. Also, Ukrainian commando raids against the nuclear plant were massacred. The fact is Russian forces are high quality opponents. They are not falling for the sort of raids that work against second rate militaries.
