The cause of the lack of energy is the shut down of reliable coal, oil and nuclear power due to green policies. This disaster was already on the way but the shut down of Russian gas has highlighted the problem. They shut things down before there was any viable replacement.
This whole green idea the we need to shut down the power plants to save the planet is wrong. The world is not going to cook or be subject to more extreme weather than we experienced in the past. People who believe this believe in lies. They don't seem to care about the truth, as if they were brainwashed. It's the same sort of consensus psychology that leads people to unquestioningly take the experimental Covid jabs.
One footnote: existing nuke plants do present a danger during an environmental disaster. However, a thorium nuclear plant would pose no danger of a meltdown in a disaster as it would shut itself down with a complete lack of power or if there were severe damage to the facility.
