Russia Acts to End Ukraine Ingulets Bridgehead; Deploys 3rd Army to Donbass (Alexander Mercouris)

The Russian tactic of allowing their opponents to advance in order to be targeted continues, except that now there are few Ukrainian forces remaining in the fight. The overall Russian plan has remained the same - to hold and destroy the opposing forces, mainly using artillery. Maneuvering on the battlefield, with these tactical withdrawals, is part of the hold and destroy plan.
