Comicsgate's BIGGEST ROADBLOCK (Michael Bancroft)

Shipping costs are the number one problem, according to Bancroft, when it comes to getting books out around the world. Some sort of distribution solution is needed. In Australia he made a deal with Australia Post to significantly lower the costs with exact weigh charges rather that via a broad category that halved shipping charges. 

Bancroft also talked about whether independent creators should work as a collective or remain totally independent. He says there are some things that can be done to help get books produced, that is to work through trusted printers, which is a big problem for many. Comicsgate is a network, and so helping out fellow creators with tips and connections is something that should be encouraged. The big problem with closer connections for creators is friction generated by different people with different personalities and priorities.
