The Sad Tale of The Rings Of Power (Critical Drinker)

With the release of ANOTHER Rings of Power teaser, I figured it might be fun to look back on the sad story of Amazon's ill-fated Lord of the Rings TV show.



It looks like the show is going to be another inept diversity inserting endeavour. The LotR stories are based on European folklore and the diversity figures stick out like sore thumbs. It just looks wrong.

Imagine doing this to tales from Japan, the Middle East or Africa and inserting Europeans into the leading roles? European people would not want to see that sort of thing anymore than audiences have trouble with this production. And what's worse is that these woke productions tend to put out less than convincing stories - airing things that are just stupid and likely written by "professional writers" that have no concept of credible storytelling or lacking experience in the wider (technical) world.
