Russia Repulses Ukraine Counterattacks, West Reporters Speak of Crisis for Kiev in Donbass (Alexander Mercouris)

Russian forces would be happy to see Ukrainian counter attacks because it means these forces will break cover from their dug in positions. Drawing the enemy out and destroying them is a sound tactic. It's better than engaging them in frontal assaults. Current talk in the West of a negotiated peace are only being made because of the imminent collapse of the Ukrainian Army.
