Safe Climate Of 1791 (Tony Heller)

A look at the "safe climate"' of 1791, as defined by NASA's James Hansen.

Extremes of weather don't care about the parts per million of CO2 in the air. If what happened in 1791 happened today it would be categorised as a sign that we were going off a climate cliff (like today!). No rain from June to November (in Australia), flooding (in the US), like what we saw recently, and a deadly hurricane, one of the worst in terms of loss of life. In other times far in the past multiple high strength hurricanes struck in one year (looking at the US data). Also, consider the impact right now of the Sun, being at a maximum, with all the auroras etc. Models that don't include the output of energy from the Sun must be wrong, giving the wrong results, but that's what we have.
