Why You Must Never Trust the "EXPERTS" from the Government - Thomas Sowell Reacts

Experts in any field can fall outside the bounds of practicality when they propose something, or trade heavily in an idea, that is not tested (or fully considered in practical terms). People who have ideas that are never tested, or who propose things in which they suffer no consequences, can end up in positions of responsibility (in Government) where their actions can lead to disaster. It happens time and time again. 

There are more highly educated people existing today than ever before and yet policy disasters keep happening. It's because politics combined with misguided intellectual ideas, that might seem good on paper, very often override practical decision making or local knowledge and experience.
