“I’m DONE With The Left!” Joe Rogan BLASTS Liberal "Cult" (Russell Brand)

Joe Rogan has spoken about previously being “a left-leaning person,” but now is one of the people who have “woken up to the leftist lunacy.” So what has happened to the left in recent years to make so many former Liberals now reject that label?



The left are supporting the agenda of big business and globalism since they have been tricked into thinking they are acting virtuously due to 'bleeding hearts' (intersectional/environmental) propaganda that covers up what is really going on. These people have been brainwashed to think that their neighbours are the enemy - particularly the mainstream working class people of their own (Western) societies.

Rogan is correct in dumping the left today because they have been caught up in a series of establishment/academic lies, about health, the environment, plus society in general, and these things are ruining them. Rogan, and many others that are dumping the left, can still be categorised as centre left libertarians. They did not change so much as those that were caught up in a web of virtue signalling propaganda did (propaganda that denied on-the-ground reality and science).

A lot leftists today (but not all) now come across as virtue signaling 'morally superior' authoritarians (not all of them are authoritarians but they don't respect people that don't agree with their views) and these peope often seem to be, and admit that they are, mentally ill. They tend to believe in subjectivist fantasies about the state of society, and the world, where hard facts and science are rejected. A lot of information they get comes from the establishment media, and academia, and consists of out of context arguments or cherry picked material that is skewed due to politics. They see the environment/society as an entirely 'social construct'. While it is true we live in a constructed society their error is to see EVERYTHING as constructed and, most importantly, almost entirely malliable. 

Those that don't conform to what they are pushing are then seen as 'the enemy'. 'Normative' society is seen as inherently bad and oppressive where their solution seems to boil down to State communism (with little understanding of how it would work in practice). The people on 'the right' today basically want freedom and want individual choices respected (which is something the left used to champion a few decades ago). 

Note: This does not mean there are no problems with right leaning political issues either. It is often argued that the right wants a situation where is it everyone for themselves. What people like Rogan would advocate for is to have a sensible level of economic social safety measures, even universal healthcare, without all the other things that are being pushed by the left today (encapsulating things like diversity hiring, as opposed to simply hiring people as individuals, and destructive economic measures such as Net Zero). 

Additional Note: Not all of the leftists have a morally superior attitude, but all of them have been caught up in the virtue signaling propaganda. Those that can see the propaganda for what it is, like Rogan, then break free of the mental conditioning.
