Don’t Ask Questions, Just Consoom Product (Lotus Eaters)

Leftist propaganda in entertainment is everywhere. However, subtle leftist critiques of masculinity or society in the past, that feature anti heroes, such as we've seen in Fight Club or Watchmen, actually carry with them meaning that appeals to those on the right. A lot of what they do is for a good purpose. Leftists creators, in today's political environment hate that right leaning people are getting mileage out of what they produced. It's likely that leftist creator views on what they made has warped in today's world. 

The issue is that characters that were intended as a parody of principled characters, in a nihilistic world setting, come across as actually being principled characters (although they are flawed anti heroes).
