A five sigma climate misinformation event from academia and the Australian Broadcast Corporation.

According to this clip the five sigma event claimed by an Australian academic is actually only a three sigma event. Importantly, when it comes to the weather three to four sigma events are relatively common over a one hundred year time frame. The academic made a big mistake. This is in relation to Sea Ice loss around Antarctica. It was ridiculously claimed that this Ice loss was something you would not see in 7.5 billion years and ABC News (the Australian Broadcasting Corporation) reported this with a 'straight face.' Going back to 1966, this year had less ice. Currently the Ice extent is back to near the long term average with a measured slowing of the melt.

What we are seeing in academia and with the mainstream media is not a pursuit of truth but the pushing of a political agenda. This can only happen when historical information and dissenting analysis is deliberately excluded. This particular case might be a dumb mistake, but overall what's going on, at the top, by people who should know better, is industrial scale lying (for money/funding).
