These people are their own worst enemy when it comes to making money. July points out that they already alienated at least half their audience with their extreme left leaning political views that comes out in film and TV shows. The fact is they are making hateful and stupid products that audiences generally don't want to see.

The writers caused this on themselves, as rough as that is to say. The mass production of lower-quality scripts has led to declining profits. If you cannot appeal to your customers, you will not succeed.
