Prigozhin mutiny and Putin's speech, 1917? (Live) - The Duran [UPDATED]

A coup directed only at the Ministry of Defense? The MoD and Putin wanted Prigozhin to give up control of Wagner and he refused. The result looks like a limited mutiny rather than a coup, where it is possible Prigozhin convinced his men to go along with him by using their contract situation as the motivating factor (that was under negotiation).

Prigozhin may actually be completely unhinged and wrapped up in himself. Did Western intelligence get to him? The British press has been publishing articles about Prigozhin launching a coup and he just spewed their lies about the conflict. What's happening here does not look like a Russian ruse. One of the key things is that Prigozhin has said things about the war that he knows must be false. Is he going crazy? He had signs of being shell shocked (PTSD) in early videos.

The guys at The Duran expect that this situation will be deescalated until Prigozhin is taken under arrest. It's likely he'll be considered mentally ill and locked away, rather than treason charges, or both? The bottom line is that there is no way back for him now. 

At least this dispute will help the Russians sort out how they operate. Perhaps this is the end of Wagner too. A critical thing to consider is that it is unlikely Prigozhin has any support outside Wagner. The rest of the population and the Russian military certainly won't support him.

Greetings, Alex, from South Africa. Thank you for keeping us updated. Putin did say in his speech that Russia sees the Wagner group Soldiers as heroes and that this incident by Proghozin is a potential betrayal of the Soldiers who fought in Artymovsk. He also was clear that he contacted all the Commanders on the Front Lines and basically told them to watch out for and not fall for the attempted propaganda and sowing of deceit from the west in an attempt to turn them. Saying that it was intrigue and deliberate sowing of discontent during WW1 that led to the defeat of Russia by the October Revolution. He warned all Military (aiming at Wagner) to think very carefully and to not give in to this. It sounded as if Putin may have information or suspect that Proghozin, and Wagner, Having been in a harsh warzone and Proghozin having a possible melt down ( as you mentioned, he has had 9 Months of hell and he is not a trained Military man), is in the vulnerable position of being deliberately manipulated and misguided, basically that there are most likely spies or agents within the Wagner ranks, as their vetting could be compromised. Putin was warning Wagner and Russian Soldiers to be aware that "the enemy" will try to push or manipulate information to influence them into committing an act of treason and to to not allow themselves to cross that line. This is just some of my understanding from the speech. And on that note, have a good night's sleep, and thank you ,again for always keeping us up to speed.
