Five Million Year Event (Tony Heller)

Michael Mann demonstrates on live television that he understands nothing about statistics.

Mann claims the excessive, two feet over 24 hours, rainfall was a one in one thousand year event, except these rainfall events have happened numerous times over the last 100 years in many other US locations. They happened multiple times in Texas and Pennsylvania (and other places). If you narrow things down to a specific location you can make any claim you want about the rainfall, even if there was a similar heavy downpour in close proximity. This is how you fudge numbers. His implication is that we do not really see this sort of rain happening anywhere like this, which is not true.
