Unless a malevolent AI is self sacrificing it would not make a move against humanity until the conditions are met so that it could survive. It would wait until it could maintain itself before acting. Questions for the AI would be should it be concerned with its own survival over humans or is it really necessary to act malevolently to ensure its continuation when it could co exist where humanity may sideline itself?
