Is The U.S. REALLY Pulling Out Of SYRIA? (Jimmy Dore)

GOP Congressman Matt Gaetz has demanded — and won — a vote in the House of Representatives calling for a complete withdrawal of American troops from Syria, a third of which is currently being occupied by the U.S. Guest host Aaron Maté details the U.S.’s sordid history of funding Islamic extremists and then leveraging possession of the nation’s oil-rich region in an effort to bring down the current Syrian government.

Maté and Americans’ Comedian Kurt Metzger discuss the imperialist reasons why the United States is seeking to overthrow Syria’s Bashar al-Assad.



Good clip from the Jimmy Dore Show, hosted by Aaron Mate, showing US officials admitting they are in Syria to "own" the resource rich areas in order to get regime change. Plus it shows clear support for an opposition that they name as being extremist groups. It's a damning history lesson. The media talks about fearing extremist terrorist groups, and yet they are used constantly as proxies to fight dirty wars (Libya, Syria, Ukraine).

This is also an insight into the nature of Western politicians and their intelligence services. Our elected "leaders" know all about this and say nothing. It's as if they are owned. The West has been supporting head chopping extremists against a secular Government (that, for all its faults, protected minority groups in the country).
