Stanford University Bans Long List Of “Harmful” Words (Jimmy Dore)

The latest entry in the contest for most easily mocked attempt at wokeness comes from Stanford University, which has issued a list of “harmful” words and expressions meant to address “harmful language in IT” at the university and to provide alternative terms or phrases that are, presumably, not harmful. Many of the words included on the list, such as “addict,” “brave” and “American,” seem quite lacking in potential harm, however, and have stirred a backlash online.

Jimmy and his panel of the Miserable Liberal Stef Zamorano and Americans’ Comedian Kurt Metzger discuss their favorites listed and just how silly this endeavor appears to be.

They think language is the basis for everything but in nature you don't need language to get feelings of anger, envy or other emotional reactions. They explode into life depending on circumstance in many situations. In the end the censors will try to ban more and more words that take the place of banned words when they are used for the same purpose.

However, when it comes to conversing with one another it does help to have good manners and a good attitude from the get go. A culture caught up with a disrespectful gangsta attitude fuels its own problems. There needs to be a balance when it comes to setting language boundaries.
