Russia Captures Marinka, Ukraine Digs Trenches Bakhmut, Kissinger Admits & Warns Against Neocon Plan (Alexander Mercouris)

US statements about being displeased with Ukrainian actions don't ring true. The neocons running US foreign policy would get away with a lot more, when it comes to attacking Russia, if they could avoid the consequences. Perhaps the only reason the US has not assassinated top Russian officials is because they know they'd be killed in Russian reprisals.

The US comments leveled against Ukraine look like either a ploy to gain some favour with the Russians, so they can better negotiate a truce, or they are Machiavellian in nature - like Merkel's admissions about the Minsk Peace Accords (where she stated they were used to buy time to rebuild Ukraine's military).
