It sounds like the film obfuscated the fact this African tribe sold slaves to the Europeans for profit. And they are in denial that there is a lack of interest in this story as presented. If they had a film about one of the victims, or someone in the tribe trying to stop what was happening, there might be more interest. Having not seen the film it's difficult to get a handle on all the problems with it. But an 99 percent audience approval on Rotten Tomatoes? Is the film being set up for a virtue signalling SJW Academy Award?
