The European technocrats, ideologues and politicians need to accept that re-establishing diplomatic ties with Russia is the least painful (economic & social) way out of this debacle. Time to think of saving Europe instead of pleasing the Anericans. However, I can't see the current Western governments surviving for long. Totalitarian measures are the only recourse these governments will have to keep their poulations from overthrowing them. They will of course base these measures on a lie. All totalitarian regimes do.

first, another reminder that Russia counts success in enemy casualties, not territory, in which case Ukraine again suffered catastrophic losses, as much as any day. second, 7,000 Ukraine forces are surrounded in Nikoliev, not able to escape because they blew up the bridges on the river, now their choice is surrender or die, so this is a PR 'counteroffensive' with no aim than PR, as of course Nazi regime says fight and die, no retreat, and here retreat is not possible anyway.
