The Guardian’s Fact-Free Smear Campaign Against Journalists Over Syria (Jimmy Dore)

A recent story in Britain's The Guardian sought to reveal the conspiracy underway to spread Russians propaganda and talking points about the War in Syria, specifically using as a conduit individual journalists, including The Grayzone's Aaron Maté (https://mate.substack.com). One problem: the Guardian hit piece didn't include any actual evidence and, contrary to standard journalistic practice, the author neglected to ask any of the alleged conspirators for a comment on the allegations before going to print.

Jimmy speaks with Aaron Maté, as well as American comedian Kurt Metzger, about this piece of journalistic malpractice and the decline of the once-great Guardian.



It's not just this one incident with The Guardian. The paper, along with other Western publications, are essentially propaganda rags when it comes to war and many other matters. They are part of a corporatist/establishment network. The aim, in going after people like Mate, calling him a disinformation artist, is to get independent voices CENSORED.
