The key thing we need next is the perspective of the holdout juror. It's very likely that the 11 other jurors had not understood the instructions from the judge and pushed the idea that Lindsay Clancy was insane at the time of the murder, despite the fact the evidence showed it was pre-planned.

Some of the other jurors originally sided with the holdout, but changed their minds. Was this done under peer group pressure rather than from the facts as presented? Slightly more information is needed to better understand what happened. 

There should at least be a new trial because the case was merely to judge whether the defendant should be sent to a mental hospital, which would allow for a later release, or prison. The trial did not question the fact that Lindsay killed her own kids.

Whether or not Clancy had a mental episode, which is doubtful because she pre-planned the murders, she should be removed from society for the crime and not put into psychiatric detention which would allow her to walk free in the future. Whether or not Lindsay had a psychotic episode or not, she should want to be removed from society for what she did to her children. This is inclusive of whether or not she was tripping on SSRI medication (something Candice Owens has touched on).

Also, the idea that Patrick did the killings, with women believing that narrative, when the evidence is firmly stacked against it, is the core of the wider online problem and psychosis. The $134,304 taxpayer-funded Daniel Andrews statue has finally been scrapped — but one extraordinary detail about the entire controversy deserves much more attention.

The policy dates back to former Victorian Premier Jeff Kennett, whose government introduced the practice in 1999 of commemorating premiers who served more than 3,000 consecutive days with bronze statues.

But when controversy erupted over the proposed Daniel Andrews statue, Kennett clarified exactly what his government had created:

“It's not a rule... nor is it legislation.”

Kennett described it as a guideline.



The former Premier Dan Andrews was responsible for the criminal "no jab, no job" policy during the pandemic. He locked down the State for a longer duration than anywhere else in the world.

If someone can go out and kill children, whether mental or not, they need to be taken out of society - hence prison is a reasonable penalty.

The government in Victoria is trying to shut down the Red Union which isn't affiliated to Labor, via a Bill. The good thing is there's been a huge groundswell of support for the Union coming from Libertarians, Greens and many others. While the Bill will pass the lower house it won't pass the upper house as things stand. This situation shows that people can be on the same page when it comes to certain clear cut issues.
