The U.S. economy is today based on the Federal Reserve Note – commonly known as the dollar. The physical bills look like this with the legend Federal Reserve Note across the top. This is an image of a 1928 Federal Reserve Note, the first one was printed in 1914.
But did you know that there is a form of U.S. paper money that has been legal tender for much longer than the Federal Reserve Note? It’s called the United States Note. They became legal tender in 1862, and they are still legal tender today, 161 years later.
What’s the difference between the Federal Reserve Note and the United States Note? The Federal Reserve Note is actually backed by interest-bearing government debt, while the U.S. Note was issued interest free.
Also notice that every Federal Reserve Note from at least 1928 onwards has a green seal to the right of the center portrait of the bill. The U.S. Notes have a red seal. So, if you see a U.S. bill with a red seal don’t spend it! Save it because it is worth 5 to 10 times the face value to collectors.

The Russians continue to progress their attack on Bakhmut. Also, did the Ukrainians accidentally strike that apartment building with a stray air defense missile? Recent official admissions indicate this may be the case. Meanwhile the Russians are making a lot of money with oil sales, which helps to pay for the war, and there are no real shortages anywhere. And their war production seems to have ramped up. The West vastly underestimated the effect of sanctions on the Russian economy.

Col MacGregor with a much more truthful discussion on Ukraine than aired in the media. The new equipment is not going to change the outcome of the war. The most important part is his outline of US goals to continually attack Russia which is forcing the Russians to likely occupy the entirety of Ukraine which was never the goal of the invasion. The were goals to negotiate the independence of the Eastern areas and Crimea and to begin a process of de-Nazification. These were perhaps unrealistic. MacGregor also mentions that the Western areas of Ukraine, with their non-Russian speaking demographics, would be better off as part of Poland.

Lucasfilm is about to get a radical makeover once Kathleen Kennedy leaves in June according to sources, who claim a list of Kennedy loyalists has been made and Bob Iger is checking it twice as he stands ready to pull the trigger and purge the most radical activists from the Lucasfilm employment rolls. But is it too late to save Star Wars, Willow and Indiana Jones 5, or is this a final chance for Lucas loyalists like Favreau and Filoni to right the ship?
We'll believe it when it actually happens. It's amazing that someone so incompetent and as politically charged (woke) as Kennedy remained in the position for so long. The Force Awakens film, at least from the perspective of this writer, was amateur trash. It should have been a red flag and cause to start things over again without Kennedy or JJ or any others in her circle. It would have been infinitely more wise to hire old school LucasFilm employees to steer the ship, and perhaps even someone like Marcia Lucas.

Russia Prepares Bakhmut Cauldron; German ex General Calls for Peace, Says West Risks Defeat, WW3 (Alexander Mercouris)
The most interesting part of the video comes at the end, in the last 20 minutes, when Alexander reports the thoughts of a French intellectual who points out that when it comes to industrial production the Russians have been vastly underestimated. He points out that US industrial production is way down in recent years and that their GDP numbers are skewed towards financials and other non-industrial industries, while Russian productive capacity has increased.
The Russians have the upper hand when it comes to marshaling resources and producing things, but obviously not on the same scale as China. On the other hand the West outsourced a large sector of their own industrial production to China. The industry that remains in the West, although technologically advanced, is of a lower scale in general. In a war of attrition this means the US and the West tends to run out of legs when it comes to producing armaments. This is evident in the promised equipment and arms headed to Ukraine that include not enough artillery shells and wait times on certain equipment that stretch into 2024, a point when the war would likely be over.

Update on the conflict in Ukraine for January 16, 2023.
- Russian forces are consolidating control over and around Soledar to the north of Bakhmut;
- Russian forces are also apparently preparing a much larger encirclement of Bakhmut itself;
- The United Kingdom, in addition to sending 14 Challenger 2 main battle tanks has claimed it is sending 30 AS90 155mm self-propelled howitzers;
- The AS90 is lightly armored and vulnerable to a variety of Russian weapon systems including growing numbers of Lancet loitering munitions;
- The AS90 has a different engine and transmission than the M109s being sent by the US and other NATO members meaning yet another supply chain for spare parts must be created to sustain them on the battlefield;
- The UK only has 117 AS90s meaning London is sending up to 25% of their inventory to Ukraine;
- Claims that the UK is also sending AH-64 Apache attack helicopters appear to be false;
- Apache helicopters would face almost insurmountable logistical, training, and operational challenges in Ukraine;
- Russian military industrial output, even according to low-end estimates by anti-Russian sources indicate that Russia holds a dominant position regarding attrition warfare.

Globalization is About to Collapse. Here's Why (Pike Productions)
No economic model can compete with Globalization. It has lifted billions out of poverty, virtually eliminated famine, and provided untold riches that our ancestors could only dream of. Despite the pros and cons of globalization, it is doomed to fail.
Billions could have been lifted out of poverty without globalisation as we know it. Self contained countries, open to new technologies, and in limited competition regionally, not globally, can boost their people up economically.
Each country does not have to be completely open to global markets. A level of protectionism works, where a country tends to its internal markets, with local production, rather than importing everything from various production centers. Costs might be higher, but this sort of activity generates higher paying jobs.
Globalisation has actually helped keep African countries relatively poor. They are resource rich but have trouble developing because a lot of products made overseas are dumped into their nations that then stops industrial development. Africa would do well to have tariffs and produce their own goods.
Please note: This video was posted because it deals with the reality of a globalised system. However, their take on certain geopolitical matters is very mainstream (faulty). One other point, when it comes to population decline and growth - one cannot expect endless growth. At some points in history civilisations experience deflationary periods and contractions.

Globalization laid waste to the middle parts of North America. As a canadian young man in the 70s I traveled extensively through all the small towns and cities from the great lakes all the way down to the Gulf coast. What I found virtually everywhere I went were thriving towns filled with upbeat and friendly people. There were factories everywhere. I often saw 'help wanted' signs prominently displayed in front of sprawling industrial works. All that was annihilated during the free trade era that began in the late 80s. Our capitalist class responsible for destroying what I considered a paradise are a ruthless bunch.

Kiev Says Cannot Shoot Down Ballistic, Supersonic Missiles; WaPo Says Kiev May Retreat From Bakhmut (Alexander Mercouris)
The clip opens with an extensive review of the Russian missile attacks on Ukraine and the fact they cannot defend against such strikes. It is possible that the Russians are holding back when it comes to these attacks. They could enact strikes to completely shut down the power system but have not. This is likely to allow people to leave the country with intermittent power failures. Meanwhile Western media still believes the Russians are suffering large numbers of casualties, although the Washington Post is now acknowledging the real situation in Bakhmut.
Also, the media at the moment is going on about the 30 killed in the missile strike on that apartment building. The narrative is that this is more attacks on the civilian population. But why waste such missiles on apartment buildings when you can strike vital infrastructure. And it was only one building. It looks like a stray out of about 100 missiles. The MSM narrative on the war, when you look at it, is dumb. There are plenty of military targets the Russians can strike with their missiles.

The narrative shift in 2023 is that "we didn't know" about the extent of the harm from the experimental jabs. Moreover, people have the RIGHT to refuse medical treatment. If you think a drug will help, or protect, then you may take it, but you cannot force others into doing the same.
