Zack warns creators not to risk everything on one Comic Book or to spend too much time (more than a year) on one book for a return that may not eventuate. He points out that it is good to be nimble and switch things up if they do not work out. However, if you do strike something that is popular, stick to it and keep up the standard (advice that Ethan Van Sciver would give).

You can still diversify too, with smaller side projects that may, or may not, make money. Find out what works and go from there.
