Former UK Prime Minister Just Admitted Your Vote Doesn’t Matter (Jimmy Dore)

By now even casual observers of politics are aware that political power in the United States and Europe is concentrated among wealthy corporations, billionaires, and other powerful interests, leaving elected officials with limited ability to respond to ordinary voters. Jimmy contrasts this situation with the system in China, which he characterizes as a state-capitalist system where the government exercises greater control over private capital, and points to infrastructure development, high-speed rail, homeownership, and poverty reduction as examples of the results.

Jimmy and Americans’ Comedian Kurt Metzger highlight former British Prime Minister Liz Truss’s recent remarks on Piers Morgan’s program, in which she said that seven prime ministers in ten years showed that the British political system was broken and that elected leaders were not actually in control; Truss reportedly pointed to unelected civil servants, the Bank of England, and other institutions as obstacles to genuine change. Jimmy interprets her comments as evidence that political leaders operate within constraints imposed by unelected institutions and powerful interests, while suggesting that public discussion of these power structures is becoming more open.



The corrupt bureaucracy and establishment politicians are hard to dislodge, but in the face of this problem the public should be directing their votes to radical anti globalists at every opportunity. What else can you do, aside from airing the truth about the corruption?
